email delay

Godaddy and I send a request yesterday and today to change the email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff) so we can get into the website. It has been two days and I have not heard anything for WordPress by email (info) or phone (REDACTED). I sent the request and changed the information in my Cpanel but it will not transpire until I get approval
WP.com: Yes

Hi there:
To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:
- The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
- WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
- WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.
Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. Additionally, WordPress (the software) does not have email or phone support, so if you contacted someone via those methods, they may not have any access to do anything either or may be a scam to hijack your website. However, I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.
As GoDaddy is your hosting provider, they also have control over your account cPanel and access to your site’s installation files and database (where that email information could be updated via PHPmyAdmin – only do this if you have advanced knowledge of database administration). You would need to contact GoDaddy support for more information and for their help in recovering your site access. They’re the only ones who would have the access to update that email address.
I hope that clarifies things!
