email delivery – domain hosted elsewhere

  I have already mapped a domain (settlementagreement.org) to wordpress.com (it’s hosted with heartinternet), and I thought that simply forwarding email to an alternative email address would allow we to get emails from (email visible only to moderators and staff) through, but it doesn’t. Heart Internet have suggested that I just change my MX records but I have no idea what to change them to.

  But would I be better transferring my domain to wordpress.com, and then is there a way to get emails through some sort of webmail here?

  Suggestions would be welcomed.
