Email doesn't work to log into wordpress.com

  When I tried to log into my account for the first time after creating it, I entered my email (email visible only to moderators and staff) (the prompt said enter email or login). I attempted every password I’ve ever used and was eventually locked out. I followed the typical “Forgot Password” links, entered my email, and a new prompt opened concerning SMS verification. Anyway, it referenced “jared0789” which turned out to be my login. I attempted to login again without changing my password, using “jared0789” instead of my email and voila! It worked. I am wondering, why didn’t my e-mail work to login?

  Hi there – I just tried logging in with your email address and it worked for me. You are referring to your WordPress.com account, correct?

  The log-in for http://advo101.com/ is a different login altogether.
