Email, domain & hosting

  I’m new and have no clue what i’m doing! I’ve bought a domain through wordpress but do i need to get my own hosting? and how do i create an email using that domain??

  Hi there!

  WordPress.com is different from a lot of places – the hosting is free! We charge for things like the domain you purchased, or our Premium plan for more features instead of charging everyone hosting.

  Now that you own aimeenichols.com, all you have to do is keep working on your site just like you did when it was aimeenicholstextiles.wordpress.com.

  If you’d like to setup email, there are two options. We offer Email Forwarding for free:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/

  The downside to this is that some popular email providers won’t let you reply to emails using your forwarded email address as the “From” address.

  If you need full-service email, you can choose your preferred provider and then connect your domain to it. We have steps for some popular providers here:
