  As a new blogger, my followers have thankfully grown & I have gained a number of new friends, but I have a problem with all of the emails. I know I can turn them off, but I was wondering what the best practice is for this. Every like generates an email & I try to look at everyone else’s blog but I’m currently swamped.What would you suggest is email or like etiquette.

  Turn them all off. One afternoon if you feel like it you can scroll through your blog and see Likes, etc.

  There is no rule of reciprocity with likes. With comments, there is the expectation that you will check out their blog, but no obligation to comment back. For things that are less interactive than comments, eg subscriptions or Likes, there is no expectation of reciprocity.
