email followers

Some of my email followers have informed me that they are no longer receiving email notifications when I publish a new blog post.
Is there something I need to change in my settings to re-enable this or is it a wider wordpress problem?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,
Staff will need to know the usernames of those who do not receive your posts if they have WordPress.COm accounts. For those who are email followers only they will need the email addresses to investigate what’s going on. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them.

Please provide them as I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

P.S. There is no widespread issue that I am aware of.

    Hi,

Thanks for looking into this for me. Turns out the people who were saying the mails weren’t getting through found them all in their spam folder.
Not sure why they were randomly going there after being ok for so long but that is less of an issue.

    Thanks again.

Turns out the people who were saying the mails weren’t getting through found them all in their spam folder

Email providers tweak the algorithms that decide what is spam and what is not quite often. Plus, some e-mail systems are designed to learn which messages a user opens and which ones get ignored, so messages that start out as being delivered to the inbox can start to go to spam if enough messages from that address don’t get opened.

If the users mark the messages in question as “not spam” that should help make sure they get delivered to the right place next time.

    Hope that helps!
