Email followers

Hi!
The email followers feature on my blog doesn’t word. The updates don’t arrive to any email inobxes and the followers are removed. Like they dissapear from the email followers list after a few hours randomly.
Is it because you need a plugin to have the email followers or something?
what can I do?

If those dissapearing followers have an @outlook.com address, those are spammers and Staff removes them.

thanks that makes a lot of sense because they had weird names
but why don’t the actual subscribers that have other blogs from wordpress not get the updates and new posts sent to their emails???

If actual real followers on your site are not receiving notifications of new posts via email, please share their email addresses or usernames and we can take a look. Place each email address on its own line, and it won’t be publicly visible, but I’ll still be able to see it.

These are the usernames but I can’t see their emails directly I think

parallelphilo – There are two types of followers.
1. email followers – they receive new post notifications that you publish in to the email address that they chose to follow your blog with.
2. WordPress.com followers – these folks are following your blog through their WordPress.com accounts. When you publish a new post they are notified about it through their Reader.
