Email Followers

  I have a few email followers and I know they are real people but they don’t show up in my stats. If I try to invite them to follow, it says that are already following. How can I see how many email followers I have? Thanks!

  Hi gamergirlbabs,

  When you say these followers don’t appear in your stats, are you referring to the email subscriber listed in My Sites > People > Email Followers?

  What the email addresses of the people you are expecting to see listed there? You can type the email addresses here as normal and they will be redacted from public view but I’ll be able to see them.

  Just let me know and we can go from there.

  Thank you all for your replies.

  If I click on my followers I have the option to look at team, followers, email followers, and invite. I can see the correct amount of followers but when I click on email followers it says I don’t have any yet. But I know that I do. How am I able to see how many people actually are following using emails? I need this information for a convention that I’m going to soon.

  @gamergirlbabs can you list the addresses of the followers you’re expecting so we can check on them? If you’ll write them as normal email addresses, they’ll be hidden from everyone but staff.

  That email address is associated with a WordPress.com account, so it won’t be listed under your email followers.

  Email Followers in People only list the emails of people subscribed to your site for email notifications who don’t have WordPress.com accounts. If someone follows your site via a WordPress.com account, their username is listed under your WordPress.com followers instead, even if they opted in to receive email notifications. We do not show you their email addresses in that case, and we do not indicate which WordPress.com followers are also subscribed to email notifications anywhere.

  At this time it appears your site has only one email-only follower, though there is one more pending follow from someone who has signed up, but who haven’t confirmed their subscription yet.
