Email followers aren't visible?
-
My email followers don’t show up on my followers page. Actually, one shows up, but I know for a fact I have other email followers who receive notification when I post. What’s the error?

Add: I used to see other email followers, then they all disappeared (though I confirmed with a few friends that they still get their notifications). The one that’s visible is someone who subscribed after this change. Was there some sort of WP change that affected this? Any way I can actually see who’s following via email?

Well, you have 17 WordPress.com followers. These are users who already have WordPress.com accounts, but they can also set to receive your posts via email.
The 1 email follower is the only follower without a WordPress.com account.
So, technically, you could still have 18 email followers.

Mac, the error is not in my understanding of how followers work. I know of at least two people in particular who are not wordpress users who follow me by email, yet they are not listed among my followers on the site.
For some reason, my email followers are not displayed. They dropped off my site list a few weeks back, but they’re still getting their notifications (they did not unsubscribe).
The error appears to be on the wordpress side.

Sure. Can we switch this thread to private first so I’m not giving out their email publicly?
-
Or you can send me a private message and I’ll send you an email address of one of my “ghost” followers that way.

ADD: Another related glitch; I didn’t receive a notification when the latest email follower joined (the one you can see), but I have such notifications turned on. However, I do get one for each new wordpress user that follows.
It’s been slowly frustrating me the last few weeks, so I decided to finally ask for help.

Sure, I just send an email to the email address on your account.
Please reply at your convenience.
