Email followers not appearing

  I have been lucky enough to be followed by a load of people, but their email address is not showing up in my list of followers.

  I get a notification that they are following me, but their email doesn’t appear in my site.

  Any suggestions?

  Hi –

  Folks can follow the site through their WordPress.com user accounts. In this case, you would not see their email addresses. The other option is for them to follow along through their email addresses.

  Go to My Sites > People > Followers … Take a look at the Followers and Email Followers tab.

  Hi Liz
  Thanks for the quick response.
  However, the followers number does not change when I get an new email subscriber, and there’s no way I can check if they are getting posts or not.
  I have checked the tab as you described, and have done so since I started, but some emails are not being picked up/added to the tab (yet are from genuine people)

  Hi there,

  The random @outlook.com email addresses that have been following you are spam. We are working on blocking those, and at the same time removing the ones that make it past our filters as we detect them, which is why they’re not showing up in your followers list.
