Email followers not showing up

  Over the last few weeks, I’ve gotten 10+ notifications of new email followers. Yet when I view my followers in the insights tab, they don’t show up. It tells me that my last email follower was 2 months ago. My total follower tally has risen to accommodate those new followers, but they’re just not showing up. Any reason why this is happening?

  They purport to be outlook emails, yes?

  Hi bionicbookworm!

  I’m not sure why this is happening, but I have heard of some other people having similar issues.   A couple have been outlook addresses. I didn’t realize that most outlook addresses are spam! I’ll have to keep an eye on that as 2 today alone were from outlook. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  I didn’t realize that most outlook addresses are spam!

  That is not the case.

  But there is currently a specific wave of spam where the spammers are using random outlook email addresses to subscribe to sites. We are working on blocking this completely, but for now you can just ignore those. They cannot harm your site or account in any way.
