Email followers not showing up in list

Like many others, I have started getting multiple alerts a day showing that I have a new follower. The only issue is that many of these are from emails like (email visible only to moderators and staff) etc etc. When I go to my site and look at My Site -> People -> Email Followers, they are not there.
What gives?

Thanks for the report. We’re aware of the issue and working to block these spam subscriptions, and in the process we’re also removing them from sites, which is why you don’t see them any more.

Believe me when I say we hate spam as much as you do, and the developer on this case knows his stuff :)

Same issue here. I am getting mails that I got followers on my blog. But I won’t see them under followers/email followers in my site. Could you please help. My site is happykidsandmoms.wordpress.com or happykidsandmoms.com

As I’ve said above, those followers are spammers and we’re removing them from your site as we’re detecting them, while also working on blocking them completely.
