Email Form Spam/Virus Problem

    Hi guys,

    I have been running a wordpress site for a while and had no problems. I have a contact form on there that has been receiving forms no problem.

    2 weeks ago i got a form submit. In the name field was ‘Barnypok’ and in the tel field it was a long number (too long for a tel number).

    I thought nothing of it at the time but these have continued to come. One ay i had about 20 in a minute and it seems like its some sort of virus/hack i dont know. Basically it can’t be an individual an the details being put in the form seem strange.

    Anyone seen anything like this before?

    Sorry but you are in the wrong place. These forums are only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    And you should ask in the WordPress.org forums.
    http://wordpress.org/support/

    If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there.

    I also received such emails on my website contact. It does seem like a Spammer
