Email Formatting

  Often, when I create a post, I preview it and the formatting is all correct: images are centered, wording is left justified, etc.

  But when I publish it, the post that comes to my email has formatting that’s messed up. Photos and wording might be right justified. Some might be centered, etc. It’s a mess. How do I keep this from happening?

  Hi Nathan,

  I’m sorry to hear that your posts aren’t going out how you’d like them to! You didn’t specify, when you create the post, is it going live on your site how you intended?

  Also, could you take a screenshot of the email which you’re getting so I could have a better idea of what you mean when you say it’s not coming through as you’d like? I have subscribed to your site as well so I can see in my own email client, but I’d like to see what you mean. If you could just upload a screenshot to your media library I can look there.

  Hey, thanks for the info. It is going live correctly, it’s just in the email. When I was doing the screen shot I had to adjust the size of my display to get it all, and that fixed the wording issues; apparently it was just perspective. The photos remain left-justified, however, which is my main concern. I’ve uploaded it to my media library.

  Thanks for the screenshot! I’m honestly not too sure if this is something which is broken or if there is some aspect of the email system which makes it difficult for images to be placed there as they are in your post. I have put it in front of our developers however and as soon as I have any additional information for you I will reach out!

  Hi Nathan,

  One of our developers took care of this last night and now when you publish posts, things should look more similar in your email box. It still won’t be the exact same (because email just doesn’t render the same as your browser), but it’s at least an improvement!
