Email forwarding

Hello,
I purchase a domain through wordpress but I have problem with email forwarding. I can’t seem to receive the email from my gmail after I forward it. This is the second time I email regarding this matter and the first time, the support mentioned that I have purchase through go daddy, but I have never go through go daddy. Please advise.

I see that the e-mail forwarding is correctly set up. Please make sure that you also check your spam/junk folder in Gmail to see if you’ve received the e-mail. Otherwise search inside the ‘All Mail’ e-mail folder.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Everytime I send the email, I will receive a delivery failure notification. This is the part that I do not understand why. Are you able to help?

Since you have your domain pointed to a self-hosted site now, you’ll need to add the following MX record to your domain:
MX 10 smtp-fwd.wordpress.com
If you’re having issues setting this, I’d be happy to do it for you.

I did add the MX record too but it still does not forward the email to my gmail. What should I do now?

I’ve just added the record in the DNS manager. These changes usually take 1 hour. However, it may take up to 48 hours for these changes to take effect.
