email forwarding
-
I set up email forwarding with my new domain and then sent 2 test emails. But they are not arriving in at my forwarded address.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Can you confirm that you did not send the test email from the same address that the emails are forwarded to? Also, did the emails perhaps get sent to your spam folder? Occasionally, that happens with test emails as the subject line “Test” often triggers spam filters.
-
I sent test email from a different address than the forwarded to email address. And there’s nothing in spam folder. And I’ve just tried another one now and it’s not forwarded.
-
I don’t understand why it’s not working. I’ve tried several times and from different email addresses. Don’t know what I’m missing but I really need this to work so I can send out some press releases. Hope you can help.

Currently, it looks like the two email forwards are set-up correctly (for the domain cinefugitivo.com). They can be seen here by clicking “Manage Email”:
https://cinefugitivo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Just to confirm, when you send an email to either of your email forwarding addresses, the email is not getting delivered to your designated forward address (gmail.com address). Is that correct?
It sounds like you may be trying to send emails from the addresses you have set-up (from your @cinefugitivo.com address). In that case, you will need to change the “From” instructions as described here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/#changing-your-from-address
I just want to make sure I understand the problem clearly!

Jeremy, Thanks for reply.
The last test I did was as follows.
I sent an email from a completely different address (email visible only to moderators and staff)
I sent it to (email visible only to moderators and staff)
That should have been forwarded to (email visible only to moderators and staff)
It wasn’t
I hope that’s clear -

I wanted to let you know that I’m still investigating this. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information!

It just worked!
This time I logged into a different acct and sent test email directly from there.
Previously I was sending test email from my primary address but using a “sending as” address and I think that was screwing up the test.
Thank you

Great to hear! I’m glad it’s working now. Please let me know if you experience any trouble.
