Email Forwarding
-
I’ve tried several times to use email forwarding and none of the test emails will go through. Is there something that I can do to remedy this? I’ve made sure that the test emails don’t come from the address that everything should be forwarded to.

Hi there!
It looks your email forwarding is setup to send to a GMail address. Were the test emails you sent from that same Gmail address?
If so, this is why the test emails were not appearing. GMail removes the received email because it assumes it is a duplicate of the email you sent (GMail just recognizes email aliases a little differently than other email providers.)
I’ve sent a test email to your email forwarding address. Please let me know if it gets through?

Hi Alex,
I’m not sending it from the same Gmail address and I haven’t received your test email either. How do I resolve this?
Thanks,
Candace -
Thanks for verifying that.
I’ve reset the email forwarding for your domain, you should receive an email at your GMail account to confirm the forwarding info for your harrishallbrandinitiative.com forwarding email.
Please let me know if you receive that?
It also looks like you’ve begun the custom DNS needed to map your domain to Squarespace, but are missing some records:

Let me know if you need help with those changes as well. :)

Also when I try to add the “A” records, I receive an error message, “The record cannot be added, as it conflicts with an existing record.”

Hi Candace!
I think there must’ve just been an error with the verification email recently. I wasn’t seeing a delivery confirmation in our records either. I’ve resent it once again and the delivery confirmation appeared this time. Please check the gmail account once again for a message titled “[WordPress.com] Verify your email forwarding address”
Also when I try to add the “A” records, I receive an error message, “The record cannot be added, as it conflicts with an existing record.”
Before adding the A record, delete the existing “Handled by WordPress.com” A record, by hovering over it and clicking the pencil to the right.
Or let me know what A records Squarespace says are needed for your account, and I’m happy to add them for you.
