Email forwarding does not work
-
I’ve updated your email forwarding settings. You should get a confirmation email at your gmail address. Please follow the directions in that email and then test the email forwarding again. Messages sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) should go to your gmail address.
-
-
I resent the verification email. Please check the “all mail” view in your Gmail account. The verification email may not go to your inbox.
-
Unfortunately your email’s not there either.
When I send mails from my personal account to my gmail account, they get there in a jiffy. Seems like the problem is a wp-issue?Marianne

There isn’t much that can break on our end for email forwards, but there may be a problem with your domain name. I’d like to try one more thing before we investigate that.
I’m going to set your forwards to come to one of my email addresses (temporarily, of course) to see if we can get that to work.
-
I was able to set up a test email forward and it worked perfectly, so let’s try this with your account one more time.
I’m going to set up a forward to your Gmail address. Once I do that, you’ll get an email with the following subject line.
[WordPress.com] Verify your email forwarding address
You have to click the blue button in that email to confirm the address.
You won’t get any forwarded emails until you do this step so let me know when you’ve clicked the button and we can go from there.
-
This is really strange: I haven’t received any mail (not in my inbox, not in my “all”box, not in the spam …..)!
Marianne

The email will come from help@wordpress.com.
Try using the search function in your email to look for that address.

Ok. I see you have blocked emails from WordPress.com, so let’s fix that. Please uncheck the block email box on this page
https://wordpress.com/me/notifications
Next, it’s not a good idea to have your account email set to the address you are having forwarded–because you can’t send emails from there. Please update your email address to one of your real email addresses here.

Once those two things are fixed, we’ll try again.

@Liz,
Not sure this is of help, but I thought would let you guys know,
http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools#dnsReport|type=domain&&value=marrose-ccc.comThe mail related DNS settings have two Fail notifications for the domain marrose-ccc.com. I just thought I would let You and the staff know.
Here is a screen shot for reference. https://cloudup.com/caY5JC07wOj.I see you have blocked emails from WordPress.com, so let’s fix that. Please uncheck the block email box on this page
https://wordpress.com/me/notificationsI was wondering how notification emails weren’t getting delivered, now that clears it up.
-
Liz,
I’ve done what you asked me to do – I now see why I wasn’t getting any notifications anymore from blog I follow, but I have no idea how this box got its “block emails”. Anyway, that’s unchecked again now.I’ve also changed my marianne at marrose-ccc dot com email to the gmail-address – this is what you wanted me to do, right?
Immediately I received an email in my gmail-inbox, asking me to click the link to confirm.
Just to be sure: this is what I do now?
Marianne -
Yes, click the confirmation link.
After that we may still have another step to get you email forward working, but we are making progress.
-
-
ok! I resent the email forwarding email. Check your gmail account to see if you received it this time.
-
Yay! I’ve received 2 notification mails from the blog (that such-and-such started following my blog and the one saying that there was a followup post in this thread – ig yours :) ) in my gmail inbox!
Something’s working again …….
Should I want to change the forwarding address – again – to the marianne dot dekkers at casema dot nl : am I right concluding that I can do this without any problem (gmail or casemamail makes no difference, or does it)? Also, a big BIG thank you for all your help so far – I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this!

That should work. I recommend you add a second forward to your account rather than replacing the gmail one just to make sure, but now that we have things sorted, you should be able to forward to any email address.
-
Thanks – notifications keep coming in …… it’s just that I have tried to send an email message from marianne dot dekkers at casema dot nl to marianne at marrose-ccc dot com and nothing happens there ….
Hate to bother you, but it would be really nice if we (you) could fix this too!

Your email forward is no longer set up correctly. Did you delete it? It won’t work until you verify it again. I’ve resent the verification email.
-
I haven’t done anything, that is before you sent me your latest update (definitely did not delete anything), nor did I receive the verification email you sent. Just tried the link in the mail you sent May 4th, although I have no idea whether this was a good or bad idea …….nothing seemed changed in the window this link got me to …..
