Email Forwarding Function

Hello,
I am trying to activate the email forwarding function so that someone can reach me. I just want emails sent at (email visible only to moderators and staff) be sent at my gmail address.
I did receive an activation email but the forwarding function does not work. Then I tried to set up 2 other adresses and did not get any email to activate the forwarding function.
Have I missed something?
Please let me know.

Hello @cosmicdrivein,
When you setup email forwarding, you receive an activation email with an activation link. Make sure you have clicked on that click so that the destination email is verified.If you have already done that and still not receiving the forwarded email then, please check if the name server of your domain is pointing to WordPress.com.

Also please make sure you have types in correct email addresses(both the forwarding and destination email) during the setup process.

Hi there,
Why do you say the forwarding doesn’t work? Did you perhaps try emailing the forwarding address from your own gmail address? If so, that won’t work, as you can’t test an email forwarding address from the same address where it forwards. In other words, you can’t get an email at the same address you’re sending from, even if the email is being routed via the forwarding address.
Your forwarding addresses are set up correctly and verified, so they should work. Try sending an email from a completely different address than your gmail one to test.
