Email forwarding issue due to WordPress MX records?

    Hi there,

I have no idea if my title make sense but I’ll explain. Hopefully.

My old mapped domain expired, bought a new one via GoDaddy, had a helper on here do a bit of magic and was able to map new domain (thread is here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/changing-mapped-domain-1?replies=5#post-2486482) . Great stuff.

Issue was, I also wanted to use Godaddy domain to forward emails to my gmail account. Thought it’d be simple, setup up a forward in the Workspace email on Godaddy but it’s telling me MX records don’t exist. Little beyond me so rung Godaddy who said the issue is that the domain is mapped via WordPress. See gave me the MX records, but not sure how to implement them and also if I do, does that mean that the domain is no longer mapped to WordPress?

Hopefully this makes sense to someone! As I’m not sure.

Fundamentally, in an ideal world I’d like my GoDaddy domain to be mapped to WordPress and be able to create a GoDaddy Workspace Email address forwarding to my Gmail. Although with my limited knowledge, that doesn’t sound as though it’s going to work? Options?

    Many thanks!
