I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance because I do not know how to help you. Another Volunteer may answer prior to Staff but I tagged the thread so it will not fall through the cracks and escape attention. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hi there,
If you want to set up Email Forwarding please note that you do not need to configure anything. Please just confirm the forward and you will be set.
If you want to use full email hosting, then you will not be able to use our Email Forward feature. Take a look at the guide below to add email:
Cheers!

Masaka,
Do you mean you are trying to use gmail to send email as if from vasauganda.org? E.g. maybe you have (email visible only to moderators and staff) and want to use gmail, but have the address from and reply to be (email visible only to moderators and staff)?
If so, then it seems like you followed the instructions in the guide on Email Forwarding:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/#changing-your-from-address…which also link to the google article:
https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22370?hl=enIn Google, they ask me for a server, username, password and connection type (SSL,TLS, unprotected).
My server is lamc.info so I’m guessing my smtp service would be at smtp.lamc.info. I put smtp.lamc.info as the server, my username for wordpress, my password for wordpress and tried all the port combinations, but keep getting the same message as Masaka:
“Your other email provider is responding too slowly. Please try again later, or contact the administrator of your other domain for further information.”
Hmmmm…..
