Email fraud

Hi, I recently received an email from WordPress saying my email had been changed to (email visible only to moderators and staff). I didn’t make these changes and so I am thinking it is some kind of fraud or spam. Could u pls check and see if any fraudulent activity has been made to account or website? Thank you

Hey there, are you referring to your account here at WordPress.com, or are you having trouble with your WordPress installation? An account with us will likely be different from accounts you set up with your own copy of the WordPress code.
If you can’t log into your site’s wp-admin because of this change, your host may be able to help you make a backup and use one of these recovery options. Several don’t require access to wp-admin or email, just your hosting tools.
Then have them help you secure the site so it’s safe. Here’s a useful guide for that. When everything is in good shape, make one more backup.
