  I would like to enable a letter writing campaign to local politicians. Ideally, I would like to be able to set a up form letter, include a box that the blog participant can use to add his/her own comments to, and have them be able to push a button to automatically email their local town board (this would mean mailing to 8 separate email addresses)…Is this a pipedream? Is there a widget that can help?

  That will not work on WordPress.com. It can’t be used as an email generating machine. We can’t use forms here.

  Forms are not allowed at wordpress.com due to security concerns. What you could do is upload a MS Word file to wordpress and then provide a link that your viewers could click on to download the file. They could then paste it into their email program.

  That’s about the best solution I can think of.
