Email, Google Apps, DNS Records

    How long does it take for DNS records to update? I’ve stopped using Google Apps for my email and want to implement the basic email forwarding functionality for my blog. However, even after removing the Google Apps account, I cannot edit my DNS records sufficiently to allow for email forwarding. Is there an override you’re able to implement to remove the email server records within my DNS? I’ve tried manually deleting the records multiple times and even after clearing my cache and logging out and back in, the changes I thought I made were not finalized.
