Email hacked
-
Someone has used my email address to sign up for 100s of wordpress websites. I have changed my password on wordpress and gmail, but the emails won’t stop.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, do you still need help with this? If so, perhaps this Staff reply in an earlier forum thread will assist you as well: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/spam-blogs-trying-to-force-me-to-sub-to-them?replies=8#post-3011746
If that doesn’t answer your question and you still need assistance, let us know.

Hi there,
According to our logs we haven’t sent you any emails from our system in the past month, except for two related to this forum thread (and now three after my reply). This tells me you are likely being subscribed to self-hosted WordPress sites – if the emails are coming from a wordpress@ address rather than a @wordpress.com address, that would confirm my theory. If that’s the case there’s nothing we can do about it, as we have no control over self-hosted sites.

Thanks for the further look behind the scenes, @kokkieh. Noted. :)
If indeed these are self-hosted WordPress sites, then your advice here is still pertinent:
The other option is to set up a filter in your email account to automatically delete these emails as they come in. That way they won’t clutter up your inbox and bug you with notifications all the time.

Agreed. Controlling these emails from your email account’s end is really the only thing you can do short of completely changing your email address.
