Email Hosting Problem

Hi, so far im happy with my site, I bought the domain name of domainexpress a while ago, so i mapped the dns of my wordpress site to my domain name and its working fine. lukemurgatroyd.co.uk. however my webmail stopped working as i repointed the naming servers on domainexpress to wordpress.

I need to provide domain express with the IP address of wordpress, so they can update the nameservers first then point your domain name to wordpress using IP address which im been told i can get in the form of an a record,

There are no a records when i go to domains on wordpress click edit under email/dns only the samples. Am i looking in the wrong place? can anyone help? thanks

    Hi there,

Our system are set up in such a way so that we cannot provide the IP address for your particular WordPress.com account. Instead, if you are able to find out the MX records for your mail provider, you can keep your Nameservers pointed towards WordPress and we can direct your email back towards them.

I was told i can point mail.lukemurgatroyd.co.uk and webmail.lukemurgatroyd.co.uk to 91.222.8.98 and mx records lukemurgatroyd.co.uk should be pointing to mail.lukemurgatroyd.co.uk with priority 10 and 20

    Is that of any use?

    Hi there,

Yes! That is actually very helpful! I’ve gone ahead and entered the settings which they provided (except that the MX records can’t have a priority of both 10 and 20, so I went with just 10), and your mail should start working within the next 1 to 48 hours assuming that everything they provided was right!
