Email link from photo
-
I would like to add a photo on my “About” page (not sidebar) and have it be a mailto: link when clicked on. Is this possible?

OK.
Nice blog.
In your About page, simply do the usual Add Image procedure, but before inserting the image, typemailto:(email visible only to moderators and staff)in the field that says “Link URL”.
You may add a Caption that says “Click to send email” or something similar.
Preferably, do not use a thumbnail, but full size. Why don’t you want to use the WordPress contact form instead of giving out your email?

I wouldn’t put my email in there like that. You will be attracting spam. If you absolutely want to have your email addy in there, use an encoder, like this one http://www.coderlab.us/playground/email_encoder.php

You will attract a ton of spam if you use a plain old mailto: link. That said, I have a dedicated gmail account for my blog and it’s spam filter does an excellent job. 209 spam caught in the last 30 days. In the last 30 days, I’ve seen none of it (good mail auto-forwards to my main account).
