email link to password

  Hi there,

  Before I recover this account I would like to check that it is still an active wordpress account even though it has not been linked to our domain. I would like to check that if I recover it and it gets back to the domain, the original info and content will still be there.

  I have a bit of a conundrum. This website is a university society account. We recently expired our domain and had to renew our lease however in that time we lost the main site of the website.

  Because of changing executives i have no idea what the password is (information lost in the transfer!) and have no idea what email was used to set up the account, I only know the username and an invalid password and what the old website used to be called. If you are able to provide me with what the email associated with this username (unsoc) is, then I can probably log into that email and access a ‘change password’ site.

  Otherwise I would really appreciate your help in what I need to recover this account though i feel the above option would be easiest.

  If you cannot remember the login information for a WordPress.com account, your best bet is to try the account recovery process here:

  I filled out the form and it didn’t go through because they won’t accept the url I thought was correct. Can somebody privately email me and manually look at the account or does my inability to fill out this form mean my case is unsolvable? thanks.

  So you are saying that you cannot provide the URL of the site you are trying to gain access to?
