Email links in blog post
-
I want to write a post and include a link to our local city council email addresses but I can’t seem to do that.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you tried the format in this article?
-
Thank you, I actually meant that I wanted to include links to our city council members email addresses so that people reading my post could click an email address and be able to email that person.

Yes, that article showed the format one would use although it showed using it to make a link to your own email address. The same format is used to create a link to someone else’s email address.
If you want to create an email link, you can with the following HTML – filling in the actual email address and name etc.
Email John Smith, Councilmember A.
When clicked, This link opens up your user’s email client and fills in the email address supplied in your code.
You would use your text/HTML editor to input this portion of your post.

Thanks for your help but I have a feeling I’m not smart enough to do this. When I go to text, I don’t see HTML editor (am I being really stupid?) I don’t see a backward carrot anywhere. I wrote my post and suggested the email addresses can be copied and paste – looks like an amateur but I guess that is what I am.
