  we are trying to add an option for visitors to our site to join an email list. We have set up a list using mailchimp, and this site says in its instructions for linking it with wordpress that we need to go to plugins in the dashboard, but there is no plugins option. How do we do this please?

  Hello there.
  Third party plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.

  However, MailChip has created directions that integrates their site with ours:

  You can add the generated HTML code into your sidebar, or in the body of a post or page.
