Email list widget?

  Hi,
  I am very new at this. I have set up my blog and have paid to have a custom URL. I am not great with computers or software, so I have enjoyed how easy wordpress has made it to do all this on my own. I already have an RSS feed on my blog, and I understand that people get notified via email every time I write a post. However, I would like to have an actual email list. I want to be able to send out emails to my list whenever I want and not only when I write a post.
  I found a widget called “AIO widget profitquery” that looks like it would do what I want it to. However, I don’t believe I have the ability to view plugins at this time. What do I have to do to see plugins, or is there a free and better option to be able to do what I want?

  I don’t believe I have the ability to view plugins at this time.

  You can not add plugins to a WordPress.com website. However, what I strikes me is that, according to Who is hosting this?, your nameservers are set on ns1.wordpress.com, and ns2.wordpress.com, and yet you’ve got what appears to be non-WordPress.com custom theme, and no WordPress.com footer attribution.

  What do I have to do to see plugins, or is there a free and better option to be able to do what I want?

  Plugins may be added to self-hosted WordPress.org sites.
