Email Migration along with Site Migration

I plan to purchase the business plan and migrate my website (cifwia.org) with another service provider to wordpress.com. My question is what happens to the emails I have under my domain name such as (email visible only to moderators and staff)? Do I need to download all the emails for all my accounts? Will I lose all my old emails? Also will I be able to keep the same email IDs? They have been widely published. MX records under DNS with current service provider look as follows:
    aspmx.l.google.com.
    alt1.aspmx.l.google.com.
    alt2.aspmx.l.google.com.
    aspmx2.googlemail.com.
    aspmx3.googlemail.com.
    aspmx4.googlemail.com.
    aspmx5.googlemail.com.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Based on the DNS records you provided, it appears that you are using Google Workspace for your email services. When you move your domain and site over to WordPress.com, you can absolutely continue using Google Workspace for your emails.

Migrating your website to WordPress.com will primarily affect the website hosting and not the email services. As long as you update the DNS settings appropriately on WordPress.com to include the MX records for Google Workspace, your email service will remain uninterrupted. So, you won’t need to download all the emails or worry about losing any old emails. Plus, you can keep the same email IDs.

If you need any help with setting up the MX records after your migration, or if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We’re here to help.
