email not sent after most recent post

Recently, I posted a blog and my readers haven’t received an email informing them of this post despite the fact that I have set up the Email Post Changes page exactly as stated. How can I prevent this from happening in the future? Seeing as they still haven’t received an email about my blog post, is there a way that you can retroactively send one?

No there is not.
Please provide a couple of usernames for those WordPress.com bloggers who did not receive the emails, as well as, a couple of email addresses for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts. The software will redact them ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them.
Then please type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. Sorry if we didn’t quite get the question I asked clear the first time – here is the crux of my problem. I have a long list of people (including myself) that are supposed to get a notification sent when I make a new post (under “settings”). This has worked in the past and no changes were made to “settings”. When I sent in my newest post on Saturday night to my site rocknrolldentist.wordpress.com, nobody was notified including my own email address. I am trying to figure out why and what to do about it. Thanks.

I understated that. Staff need examples to work with to find out what went wrong. Please do exactly what I asked above.

I don’t have any WordPress followers as of right now, so I can’t help you there. I was subscribed when I posted this, so no worries there. I’ll just wait until the moderators take a look at what happened.

The Email Post Changes feature is not meant to notify readers about new posts on your blog. That feature is meant to notify people who collaborate with you on the blog about changes to existing posts, when they occur.
If those readers want to receive updates each time you create a new post, please encourage them to follow your blog via email.
