Email not working

    I’m sure this has been covered but I can’t figure out how to search properly :(

    I am not receiving a verification email from WP to change the email I used to set up the website to my business email. I also cannot get the Contact Me form to send an email to my business email either, I’m guessing they are linked. I’ve checked my spam folders.

    This is my first foray into building a website and I’m not even close to website literate so I’m pulling my hair out trying to understand what is going on. I’ve been bumbling my way through this with the support of a friend but that friend just moved out of the country.

    Hi there, I’m sorry I don’t have an answer for you, but it looks like you have a WPcom upgrade plan on this account. As such, you are also eligible for direct support when you post at https://wordpress.com/help/contact If Live Chat isn’t available, you’re request will be sent to Support by email.

    In general I would strongly suggest that you use an admin email in your profile settings that is not connected to your domain. That way you’ll always have access to it in case your domain is not available.

    THANK YOU!! That was super helpful, I couldn’t even find the tech support for WP. I literally spent hours looking for it and just kept coming around to forums, which consequently took me forever to figure out how to post. I should have paid someone to do this for me…

    , I see that you have managed to submit a ticket as well! We have responded to that email, and as such, I am marking this forum post as closed.

    The contact form was not showing the live chat feature because our chat feature was closed for New Year’s, but our email ticket feature should have appeared in that place. I wonder why it did not, but happy to dig in more on this through email communication.
