email not working

  I installed WP Mail SMTP plugin and went through the process to connect to my Gmail account getting Client ID and Client Secret etc. All seemed OK but when I try to connect I get the message below. The Bluehost support says the WP Mail SMTP may be corrupted. Is this likely? What is the solution?

  I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.
