Email not working after domain mapping?

    Hi all,

I successfully mapped an existing domain from a different provider with my WordPress account (connecticutarborists.com and/or connecticutarborists.wordpress.com).

The confirmation page said, “We detected custom email settings on your domain, and automatically imported them. When you update your name servers, your email service will not be interrupted. These are the custom DNS records we imported:

    inbound.connecticutarborists.com.netsolmail.net”

So, then I updated the name servers at your registrar which worked fine. The provider is Network Solutions.

When I go into Domain Management here at WordPress it says the MX record is “handled by inbound.connecticutarborists.com.netsolmail.net. with priority 10”

That all sounds good, BUT… when I try to send an email to one of the email address connected to the website I get the following error message:

The original message was received at Tue, 21 Apr 2015 13:48:19 -0400
    from mout.gmx.net [212.227.15.19]

    *** ATTENTION ***

This email is being returned to you because the remote server would not
or could not accept the message. The registeredsite servers are just
reporting to you what happened and are not the source of the problem.

The address which was undeliverable is in the section labeled:
“—– The following addresses had permanent fatal errors —–“.

The reason your mail is being returned to you is in the section labeled:
“—– Transcript of Session Follows —–“.

The line beginning with “<<<” describes the specific reason your e-mail could
not be delivered. The next line contains a second error message which is a
general translation for other e-mail servers.

Please direct further questions regarding this message to your e-mail
    administrator.

553 5.3.5 inbound.connecticutarborists.com.netsolmail.net. config error: mail loops back to me (MX problem?)
    554 5.3.5 Local configuration error

Does anyone know what went wrong and what I can do to fix that?

    Thank you!!

WordPress.com does not provide an email service for domains. Please consult these support docs and post again if you still have issues:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/

    Thanks!

I cannot configure email forwarding because it says:

“This domain currently has custom mail servers defined in its DNS settings. This means that WordPress.com Email Forwarding is not available for this domain, and that you should manage your email with your email provider.

The email servers for this domain are:

    inbound.connecticutarborists.com.netsolmail.net.”

    :(
