Email Not Working After Mapping: Urgent

    I successfully mapped my domain to my WordPress site. However the email associated with the domain has stopped working after mapping. I updated the MX records on the WordPress site based on information provided by my email provider but I am not sure if its been done correctly as WordPress would not accept some of the information given (fullstop at the end of mail server name) and I had to remove the fullstop in order to input the server name. If the emails do not work after mapping, then I would like to cancel and a full refund of the mapping as it is more important that I maintain the email address than have the site mapped. I understand that I can only cancel/get a refund within 48 hours, but its been 24 hours and I have not received a response from WordPress to my queries on the email mapping problems (I received an automated response which says they can usually take 24-48 hours to respond). I don’t know if I should cancel now and restore my email or wait and pray someone will eventually respond from WordPress. What if they can’t fix the problem after 48 hours – do I still get a full refund if its not working? I need access to the email account urgently. Please help.

    Dear Ehtisham, thanks for your email response. I have given you the information requested (i.e. the IP address) via email reply to help@wordpress.com .
    I haven’t updated the MX record with this information as I don’t know how (there is no field for this and the wordpress MX record guide specifically states that I should not input the IP address because it will not work). Please can you help urgently?

    Etisham, my emails still are not working after you updated the MX and A records. Please help urgently. I tried to access the live chat support link you sent me but it doesn’t work. Help!!!! This is urgent please.

    The emails are still not working as of now (1.30pm). The email client I am using (Microsoft Outlook) is the same as that before the mapping, so I don’t see what that would be the issue? In any event I tried to log on using a different client (on a MAC) but that doesn’t work either it says account cannot be verified.
    Please help urgently? Is there a way I can speak to you via live chat? At the moment all I can see is the email button when I click on the contact page

    I ran a diagnostic on MXToolbox and it says “Dmarc record is missing” – could this be a reason why the emails are not working? Please can someone help. I really need to get that email account back up. I have run out of ideas on what to do and my email provider refuses to help any more.
