Email not working (Crazy Johns) – problem at WordPress end

    Hi,

    My email is not working properly, i.e. I can’t send or receive emails. My email was set-up with Crazy Domains and

      prior

    to having my domain point to WordPress it was working. After the domain was redirected it stopped working.

    I have contacted Crazy Domains numerous times and they have assured me it’s set-up properly in their admin panel. The problem seems to be the set-up with WordPress, and knowing that it worked previously proves that.

    Can you please fix it as this is a business email and I am not able to get emails… This is affecting my ability to conduct business!

    PS. They also talked me through the configuration in WordPress, i.e. the records and assured me this was correct:

    MX mail.marketingsnap.com.au mail handled by mail.marketingsnap.com.au. with priority 10
    A mail.marketingsnap.com.au points to 173.254.137.18

    I am still waiting on someone to get back to me about this – you need to help me fix this problem as it’s affecting my business.

    THIS IS URGENT!!!!

    I was about to buy a custom template and upgrade, but if I don’t hear back within a week and get this resolved I’m going to another platform.

    I don’t care if you flounce, I’m just a volunteer here, so you can hold the hostility and listen to the instructions.

    WordPress.com does not have mail servers. It’s up to you to configure your email with forwarding according to the instructions in the Support documents: http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/

    I’m sorry for the trouble you’ve had with this. I see that you added the two DNS records that Crazy Domains provided. This is what’s currently active on your domain:

    MX marketingsnap.com.au mail handled by mail.marketingsnap.com.au. with priority 10
    A mail.marketingsnap.com.au points to 173.254.137.18

    You can also check to see that those records are working at this link:

    If your email still isn’t working, it’s possible that Crazy Domains gave you the wrong information for setting up your email. The IP address they usually use for email service is 203.170.82.73 (rather than 173.254.137.18). Could you check with them to see if that IP address would work for your email service?
