Just be clear it is http://tenabraecafe.wordpress.com/ that I am not getting the email notifications for.
I am not sure what the /ref=spelling at the end of the address is?

    Thank you timethief,
Maybe you can answer my second question and that is how do I get back to my place in the forums for answers to my questions? I have just been keeping this window open and refreshing my browser. And how do I subscribe to get notification from the staff. A slight newbie here with the forum process.

On the top right hand corner of every forum page look for Welcome lorenwolf and note that same link appears in every forum thread you post to as the “member” link under your username. Click it https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/lorenwolf and l.ocate every post your have made to the support forums.

Within a thread you can find this under every comment box:

    Hi timethief,
I do not see the comment box anywhere at http://tenabraecafe.wordpress.com/ except in the about page. I was kind of concerned about this when I selected the Sunspot theme for my layout. It seems confusing as to where people can leave comments.

By default comments are enabled on all WordPress blogs for all posts and pages. Unless you use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, know that the front pages of our blogs “showcase content” and comments are collapsed on that page. You cannot change this. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.

The reason for this is clear if your are a long time blogger like I am with nearly 900 posts. Imagine being a visitor visiting a blog with hundreds of posts each with and many comments displayed beneath them. One would have to scroll for miles and readers simply won’t do that – they will click out.

Email Notifications on my blog is ridiculous. Sometimes my members get new post notifications sometimes they do not. Over 700 post ups and it is a hit and miss thing since 2009.
If anyone has an answer I would certainly appreciate it.

    Thanks Lee,
I am referring to the email notifications that people sign up for and more specifically my notification that a new post has been made which is not showing up in my email.

    Dear Timethief,
Thanks for reminding me where the comments are. But what I am looking for is the location of the option to receive email notifications. I see it in the left column of the blog for the readers of the blog . What I am asking is do I have to use the same widgit to get a notification or as the administrator of the blog, is it located somewhere in the dashboard? Thanks for all the help and effort.

    Do you mean this?
    Settings > Discussions
    E-mail me whenever
    Anyone posts a comment
A comment is held for moderation
Someone likes one of my posts
Someone reblogs one of my posts
    Someone follows my blog

    Before a comment appears
An administrator must always approve the comment
Comment author must have a previously approved comment

No. I think we got sidetracked on the subject of comments. But I think that I figured out how to solve my problem which was the setting for having a email sent to me notifying me when I published a new post I wanted to use it to let me know that other who had signed up were getting the email notification also. I was looking in the dashboard for the answer but I think I just have to sign up.
Thank you again for taking the time to help me figure out several things about constructing a blog.
