How can I change the emails sen to my users when I ‘ve written a new post .? To add the picture of the post for exemple.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

The email notifications that are sent to your blog’s followers are generated automatically and can’t be changed. The content in your blog post (including images in the body of the post) will be sent to your users, although your post’s featured image currently is not included. We are considering adding the featured image to the email as a future enhancement.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

OK Thanks. I’ve two other problems on “untilted” blog.
The picture in front of posts . Which size is good to be seen on WordPress READER ? I’ve changed the size (to 1644 *600px) of my last post but it didn’t appear on Reader.
Some featured images with low resolution are becoming very big in the front of the post. I ‘ve read that the size must be 600px in the length but it’s a too low size, pixels appear ?…

    Hi there,

For an image to be added above your post in the Reader, it needs to be at least 594 pixels wide and have an aspect ratio above 0.8 (width/height). Since your featured image on the latest post is 600 pixels wide and 1645 pixels high, the aspect ratio is only about 0.36 so it won’t appear above your post on the Reader.

You are welcome to use featured images that are more than 594 pixels wide, and as long as the aspect ratio is 0.8 or greater the image will appear above your post in the Reader. Please let me know if you have any other questions about that!

    Thanks.You are very efficient.
I’ve change the format of the post, with video format featured images can’t appear in the Reader…

  • Unknown's avatar

Thanks for letting me know! I’m glad you found a solution that worked for you.

If you have a post with the video format, the Reader will try to look for a video to display with your post. However, if it can’t find a video it should display the featured image. I’ve reported this to our team, and they will look into why the featured image wasn’t displaying with the video format. Thanks!

Hi there, I just checked your gallery widget, and the carousel appears for me without any problems.

First, can you check to make sure that Javascript is enabled in your browser? If you aren’t sure, you can check here: http://supportdetails.com/

This page has instructions for managing your Javascript settings in Chrome:

    https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/114662?hl=en

Then, can you try temporarily disabling any browser extensions in Chrome and see if the carousel works for you? Here are instructions for doing that:

    http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=187443

Please let me know how that goes. If you continue to have trouble with this, I can keep troubleshooting the issue with you.

    Thanks for your help.
My javascript is enabled. May I send you a video from the screen I’ve made ?

Thank you for those videos! It really helps to see what’s happening.

I noticed that you double-clicked on the image to open the carousel. This may be causing a problem — can you try clicking just once on the image and see if the carousel opens for you?

If that doesn’t work, please let me know and I can keep investigating this for you. :)

No it’s not the problem. I restore parameters from Chrome too. Always this problem. I try on my MAcbook, it work’s correctly…I’ve done something on this Imac but I don’t know what. Since I ‘ve change colors It’s also..

  • Unknown's avatar

It sounds like there is an issue with some of the settings in Chrome on your iMac. Can you try resetting Chrome to its default settings to see if that resolves the problem? Here is a link for more information about that: http://www.tothepc.com/archives/reset-google-chrome-to-default-settings/

I’ve done it. (rest on chrome preset). It’s the same.
I’ve try also to sign out, it’s the same.
Don’t worry, it’s no more a problem. I know as yo said that the carousel is visible for other…. for me I ‘ve to click on the page actualising…

  • Unknown's avatar

The carousel is visible to others when they first click on an image, so if you aren’t worried about it that’s ok. :)

If you’d like to keep working on this, I’d be happy to troubleshoot it further. We can use the Chrome Developer Tools to see if any Javascript errors are causing problems for you.

If you want to do that, you can visit your site and then open the developer tools in your browser. Click on “Console” (on the right side of the tools), and then click on an image on your site to open the carousel. You can copy and paste any text that appears in the console window.

If you aren’t concerned about it, though, you don’t have to keep working on this. It’s up to you! :)

Blocked a frame with origin “https://w.soundcloud.com” from accessing a frame with origin “http://danielbukohoten.com”. The frame requesting access has a protocol of “https”, the frame being accessed has a protocol of “http”. Protocols must match.

I’ll check with our team about that message, but it’s related to the SoundCloud Audio Player and shouldn’t make a difference for loading the image carousel.

Since there aren’t any Javascript errors that could be causing this issue, it must be another setting in the browser or on your computer. We haven’t been able to reproduce the problem on our end, though, so I’m not sure what’s going on!

You may want to try checking in a different browser on the same computer to see if it works for you there. You can download the latest versions of different browsers here: http://supportdetails.com/

Thanks for all. On Safari it’s OK. I’ll find what is no good on Chrome (last version)

You may see these messages in the Chrome developer tools, but it should not impact how fonts are displayed in the browser and it would not cause the issue with the carousel that you are having. If you do see a problem with how fonts are displayed on your site, please let me know and I can look into it for you.
