Email notification of a post being written and published

  The blog doesn’t email me to let me know someone has made a post in my blog. How can I get it to do this. I have selected the options in dashboard for email when a post or page changes and checked that the email address is the correct one but I only get email alerts when a post CHANGES not when it is first written.

  Is there a way to get it to send me an alert when someone adds a new post.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
