Email notification of all comments

How do I get email notifications of all comments on a blog I manage, not just on those posts I author? I am not the owning email address, so I assume the owning email address has to make some setting change to do this, but I don’t know what setting that would be.

Hi, you can actually get emails of all comments on any WordPress.com site, if you’d like.
Head to your reader management page:
https://wordpress.com/following/manageFind the site in question. Click the gear. You’ll have an option to follow all comments.
Just be sure your mail provider doesn’t start automatically marking those as spam if you end up with a lot of mail.

Thank you for your answer. I went to the settings exactly as you describe and found that I already had “Email me new comments” turned on. Was that what you meant?

Given that this setting is already on, and I don’t get an email about every comment, only about those on posts I author, is there any other way?

Hi Morag,
yes, that is the setting. You should be receiving all comments added to that site. Have you already checked the Spam/Junk folders on your email account?
Could you share a link to a post not written by you where comments were added? -
I had another thought about this. Is it possible that this setting would only show comments after they were approved? I wonder this since it is in the reader settings and I could do this for any site.
What I actually want is to get the email notification of comments that need to be approved.
Is that possible?

Ah yes, you are correct. When subscribing to comments in the Reader, you will only get the notification of a comment that was made public.
To be able to receive notification of all of the comments you would need to be an admin on the site.
