Email notification of comment in moderation – not post owner

How do I get notification of pending comments when I have been given the ability to approve pending comments by the original blog owner and am not the post author?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You would need to be an Editor or Administrator.

Tess – I think they are asking about how to be told to moderate a comment when a new comment is made – I did not see any settings to send notifications to anyone other than the admin for a blog – if you are editor it looks like you can approve comments BUT you are never told that you have new comments to moderate –

I did a bit of testing – I am editor of a site – I logged out of here and made a comment and the Admin was notified of the new comment not me

I then tested it on another site that I am admin on but not owner – logged out here but the blog would not accept that I was logged out – gray Nav. bar at the top was present all the time – but if I tried any admin activities I was stopped and ask to log in – I could not leave a comment on that site using fake info (as if I was logged out and just visiting) – when I filled in my info for my WordPress.com account (I am still logged out here) – the comment was accepted and then automatically approved – which is an error – comments are set to moderate and the must have an approved comment is not checked

maybe a new thread for the above?

not sure how the OP would be notified – and no notification to my App on my Android either

Thank you, yes, this answers my question. Looks like there is no mechanism in place to let moderators (only) know via email when there is a pending comment. Will keep having to check the “old-fashioned way” ;)
