email notification of new post

  I have not received email notification when I post a new blog entry for the past 8 or 9 posts. Why is this? Does this also mean that my email subscribers are not receiving notification either?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Howdy,

  On your account, it has been set to block all notifications from WordPress.com. You can change this back at https://wordpress.com/settings/subs-delivery/

  This happens for a few different reasons:

  1. The setting was changed on that page
  2. An unsubscribe link from a notification e-mail was clicked on.
  3. Your mail server sent back a number of “bounced” e-mails, rejecting it for one reason or another
  4. Your mail server sent back a request to unsubscribe.

  Once that’s unchecked, it’ll start working again.

  Just trying to get my site the way I like it; I’ve noticed that Reader always shows 0 comments and 0 likes, even though I’ve received comments and likes. What can I do to about this?

  Please help-
  I did something in settings and now Reader is showing my comments and likes but now I am getting two emails for each comment on my blog. I don’t know how to rectify this.

  Hi Christine,

  Can you check your WordPress.com Reader settings? It sounds like you may have enabled instant comment notifications there, so you’re getting an e-mail as the blogger and as a follower to the blog.

  You can check that by visiting http://wordpress.com/following/edit/ and clicking the small edit button next to your post. A box like this will appear https://cloudup.com/c7hHpT6F8E9

  Select the Off option and you should be all set.
