Email Notification to followers

  Hi
  I want to know if it is possible to choose not to send the whole post to the blog followers but just a notification saying the new post is up and a link to the post. I am using the follow via email widget.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  There are two ways in which this is possible. Firstly, you could use the Read More tag, and only the content above the tag will appear in the email. In order for your subscriber to read the rest of the post, they’d need to click the link included in the email: https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/

  Alternatively, please go to https://manicsylph.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php and select the “Summary” checkbox for “For each article in a feed, show”.

  You can then customise your summaries: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/
