Email notifications and Image Galleries

    My blog posts are accompanied by an image gallery. On my website, these images are attached to each post and shown in tiled format. If you click on an image, the full size carousel opens for easy browsing.

    However, when you receive an email notification of my latest post (using the follow by email widget), the images in the email are shown haphazardly and clicking on an image just takes you to the full size version of the image (not the carousel).

    Is there any way to have the behaviour of the images in the email notification mirror that of the blog (i.e. open into a carousel for browsing and the tiled layout)???

    Every email client displays images and text somewhat differently. Some are set up not to display images or videos at all. Please tell us exactly which email client you are referring to above re: the display issue?

    Thanks for the quick response. I realize all the clients will be different since my followers will all use different ones. However, I have tested in gmail and Apple Mail and the problem is the same.

    Please post screenshots, upload them to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file names so Staff can examine them.

    There really isn’t a way to improve this. Most mail clients have very rudimentary support for HTML and can’t handle the mosaic gallery style or the carousel display.
