Email notifications for blog followers
-
Followers to our blog are not getting email notifications automatically when we publish anything new. When we were a private blog we did get notifications in our test group. Also, when we managed notifications manually through “email post changes” the notifications came through but from “WordPress” not Living Toronto. Help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have the same problem as above for one of my private blogs with invited viewers. We look forward to your suggestions. Cheers

First of all, “email post changes” does not send out a newsletter to your subscribers. It is a means for Admins/Editors to track changes to posts or pages on multi-author sites See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/email-post-changes/
Regarding followers, every follower determines for his or herself how they want to receive notifications of new posts. If a follower has chosen to receive the post by email, and is not receiving it, they should log in and make certain that they have not blocked all mails from WordPress.com. They should also check that the email has not gone to spam.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/reader/#troubleshootingEven on a site marked Private, users have to follow/subscribe the blog in order to receive notifications of new posts.
