email notifications for blog posts and replies

Hi, recently in 2015 email notifications are not consistent with no apparent reason. Sometimes I get a notification for a reply but then for the same post and other replies I won’t receive notification. Is there a reason for this, and more importantly, a way to fix it? Thanks

I’m seeing pretty frequent notifications are being e-mailed to you. If you could give me an example of an instance where you didn’t get a notification, I’m happy to investigate further.

I have no idea what comments on which posts of yours I would have missed without searching the rest of your site — I only know I did not receive any notifications during this time.I’m subscribed to your entire site. I also check “Notify me of new comments via email” each time I post a comment.

Are all of your comments showing up on your notifications page?
https://wordpress.com/notificationsI looked up the e-mails you referenced below, and I’m seeing 13 e-mails delivered between Jan 29th and Feb 9th and I see 13 comment notification e-mails delivered during that time. There may have been a problem earlier but I can’t check on that because our logs don’t go back far enough.
So if you could pay close attention to when you get an onsite notification but no e-mail notification over the next couple of days, I’ll be able to use that info to determine if this is an ongoing problem or if it has resolved itself.

I got the email notifications for today’s comments on Episode 18 (from you and Elle). However, I just discovered I did not get notifications for any of today’s comments on Episode 19 (from you, Thursdaynexxt, and Elle). Zip.

I checked your notifications against the e-mail log for the period of time you list below, and I’m still not seeing any evidence of missing notifications. You do however get a lot of notifications, all of which have the same subject line, so it’s possible your e-mail client is sending some of them to spam. When you notice missing notices in the future, I recommend you check there.
You may also find that keeping up up with your new comments is easier if you do it from the notifications dropdown on WordPress.com than it is to rely on the e-mails. When you log into WordPress.com just look for the bell icon in the upper right corner of the page.
