email notifications for comments stopped–last notification was 7-26

    The last email notification for comments was on 7-26-12. I blog every day, and I usually have comments every day. I have received no email notifications, however, for any of the comments from 7-27-12 forward. I use this feature to respond to comments by email, and I have confirmed that my settings (Discussion) are properly set for me to continue to receive notifications. I wrote to WordPress.com Help already but have not yet received a response, hence this second email on this topic.

    I might add that I am receiving text messages from WordPress.com that comments are being left; this seems to be something new as I do not recall this previously. I did not do anything to change any settings for this text message notification. Is this a conflict with the email notification? If so, I would l like to know where that setting is so I can turn it off if in fact it conflicts with the email notification, which I really need.

    Here is a copy of some comments from 7-27-12 for which I have not received email notification. I hope to hear from you soon.

    We replied to your email on July 30, did you receive that? If not, there may be large problems with your Gmail account. Here’s the reply from Elizabeth:

    It looks like you have a different email address entered in your Settings->General page here:
    https://dancingsoles.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php

    Does that explain the missing comment notification emails? Can you check if they are in that account instead?
