email notifications not sending

  Hi there, my email notification to followers is not working when I add a new post. I can see that many people seem to have this problem. It;s incredibly frustrating as I have worked really hard to get followers who aren’t my friends/who I can’t inform individually of a new post. Can you pls help me to resolve this issue? I don’t want to change my theme as I spent ages choosing it/getting it just how I want it. I don’t pay for a theme either btw.
